2008 Update

The Nepa Unit had their Spring meeting on Saturday, April 26th at
Lehigh Valley College.

The speaker, Deborah Fry, MT (ASCP) MBA, CIC provided us with a slide presentation that explained
different types of infections that massage therapist could encounter and the best ways to avoid becoming

infected and spreading the infections to others. The workshop was very interesting and informative.

There was also an inquiry as to what members desire in the way of education for future meetings.

Another request was put out for members to donate one cost of a massage every quarter to

PAMP for licensing efforts. Joanne Mengel, EDR was on hand to provide current information on
licensing.

The next meeting is scheduled
for November 1, 2008 at the Massage Academy of the Poconos,

Stroudsburg, PA.
